False Creek Tours August 18
Ever wondered what False Creek was like before the condos, beaches, joggers, yachts and co-ops? False Creek was once the industrial heartland of Vancouver through to the 1950s. As industry shifted to other areas, the vicinity around False Creek started to deteriorate. The future of False Creek south was subsequently shaped by debates on freeways, urban renewal, and the rise of citizen participation in urban planning.
This Aug. 18, former Think City Tours hosts Bruce Macdonald and Kera McArthur will be offering free guided walks for the public as part of the Vancouver False Creek NDP's False Creek Tour Project.
